Gas obeys a slow diffusion field: it creeps from every open crack and pools in the low ground on the right, exactly where the cage hangs. A fan shoves the field away from its radius, a bore swallows it forever, a seal must be dropped on the crack itself. Gears arrive every fifteen seconds of clean watch.
